In addition to providing music for regular church worship, the Music Ministry also offers a series of concerts and special services held in the Sanctuary throughout the liturgical year. These events serve to augment worship opportunities at Messiah, as well as to broaden the range and variety of music available to our congregation and community. October 26,
2008 @ 4:00 p.m. - Music Ministry Concert
The Music Ministry at Messiah opens the year with a concert highlighting musical
contributions from the Chancel Choir, Chancel Choir soloists, the Bell Choir,
and the church organist. Featured works include Haydn's Missa Brevis St. Joannis
de Deo for choir, string quartet and organ, and additional music from Fauré,
Saint-Saëns, Puccini, Albinoni, and Minister of Music Rick Rosen

24, 2007 @. 4:30, 7:30 & 10:00 p.m. - Christmas Eve services
Three very distinct services are offered on Christmas Eve. The Family Service at
4:30 includes a variety of favorite Christmas carols, designed to be sung by the
whole congregation as the Spirit of Christmas is rung in by one and all. The
7:30 p.m. service features full choir and organ, and is most like the
"traditional" Messiah Christmas Eve service. At 10:00 p.m., a smaller choir
comes together to usher in Christmas Day with a more intimate, contemplative
service. However you chose to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Messiah has a
Christmas Eve service to suit you.

25, 2009 @ 4:00 p.m. - Hymns Festival
Special Music at Messiah begins the new year with the annual Hymns Festivals.
Based on input from the Music Ministry, the Rector and, most importantly, from
the congregation, a program of favorite hymns will be assembled. Then, at the
Hymns Festival, all in attendance will join in the singing, with the assistance
of the Chancel Choir and the organist.

8, 2009 @ 4:00 p.m. - Second Baptist Church of Doylestown Mass Choir
Following their tremendous reception at Messiah in 2007 and 2008, the Second
Baptist Mass Choir returns for another rousing performance of soul-stirring
gospel music. The Mass Choir is the real thing, complete with memorable solo
voices and an outstanding ensemble sound guaranteed to raise the roof.

12, 2009 @ 7:00, 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. - Easter services
Messiah will offer three services on Easter morning, including two (9:00 & 11:00
a.m.) with full choir, bell choir, and brass quartet.
