Messiah’s Church School program offers children from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade a foundation for spiritual growth and development. Our team of volunteer teachers, shepherds and assistants create a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to discover the wonders of God’s love.
We use the Workshop Cycles Rotation Model by Leader Resources. This Episcopal curriculum includes the sacraments and coordinates with the seasons of the liturgical year. Over the course of a four-six week cycle, children rotate through a selection of activities focused on the same theme. In this way, we provide children with many hands-on learning opportunities while also addressing a range of learning styles.
During the summer months, children at Messiah spend their evenings for one week at Bible School. In 2008, our theme will be Power Lab: discovering Jesus miraculous power, and will take place from 6-8:15 p.m., July 13-18. This science-centered curriculum will give children a chance to see Jesus’ power in action through a variety of scientific experiments, dramatic skits, songs, and games.
