Retreat to Nature at Peace Valley Park - Sunday April 22nd after 9:30 Service

Do you want to reconnect, reflect and recharge your relationship with God? The Lord has offered us such a beautiful refuge in nature, and there seems no better place to go after an extended snowy winter! In the words of the Psalm:

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.

Psalm 96: 11-12

On Sunday, April 22 we will be heading to Peace Valley Park for a retreat to nature. It will be a chance for meaningful fellowship over a picnic lunch and some special time for prayer.

All participants are asked to sign up to bring a dish for the potluck picnic lunch. There is a sign up in the narthex, or you can sign up by emailing Tiffany Reichley at tmreichley@gmail.com .

We will begin with our lunch by the lake, followed by a time of group prayer. Then we will head into nature to reflect, reconnect and recharge. Guided prayer activities will be available for families, groups or individuals.

Please join us for this unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty God has given us while refreshing our spirits.

We will be leaving from Messiah following the 9:30 service. Carpooling is recommended if possible. If you will be meeting us there, we will be meeting at Sailor's Point boat ramp. We will be finished by 3:00 PM; however, participants can stay as long as the park is open!

What to Bring:

your dish for the potluck (and any other snacks or beverages for yourself for the after lunch activities)

-sunscreen or a hat in case we are not completely in the shade

-camping chair/beach chair/blanket-whatever you would prefer to sit on. There are available picnic tables; however, they may be in use.

-your bible

-a bag or backpack to carry with you

Directions from the Church:

Take 202 N, then make a left onto Dekalb Pike. Dekalb Pike will become Upper State Rd.

Turn left onto S Limekiln Pk(PA-152)

Turn right onto W Butler Ave(PA-152)

Take 2nd right onto Park Ave. Park Ave. becomes Callowhill Rd.

Turn right onto Creek Rd.
