Church School Lesson for Home: Scavenger Hunt!
Updated: Apr 12, 2021

Dear families- In case you missed our Google Meet yesterday, here is our lesson that you can do at home!
New and Goods: This week you can share something you are thankful for.
Opening Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank you for our time together today. Please help us to remember the story of your Holy Week journey as we search for objects in the scavenger hunt.
In Jesus' Name we Pray,
Amen
Activity #1:
Yesterday's activity was a follow up to the memory game from the previous week. You can revisit each piece of the Holy Week Journey as you search for items in the house that represent each event! You may have to get creative! You can make it a time challenge by setting a timer or you can make it a slower and thoughtful activity. Once you have found them all(or as many as you can), take some time to talk about how they represent each piece of the story. If there are some you could not find, you can draw a picture. (items can include things like a toy horse for the donkey or a cup from your kitchen and a slice of bread for the last supper or a piece of yarn or a shoelace to represent the whip)You may even want to keep them out until Easter as a way to follow along with the events of Holy Week.

Bonus Activity:
Here is a bonus activity you may want to try at home. I have ALWAYS wanted to do this, but have not yet tried. Maybe this will be the year! I would love to see pictures from anyone who makes one!

Closing Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank you for the opportunity to learn the resurrection story. Please help us to keep the story in our hearts as we go through the week and continue to show love to others.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
